Tomorrow is the first of the month, and in the wake of the coronavirus, far too many hardworking Americans are worried about how to pay their bills and provide for their families because of rampant layoffs, low wages, and reduced hours.
If you're able and looking for a way to help, there's something you can do: Make a donation to the National Diaper Network or a local food bank, charities that are providing critical aid to families in need during the current health crisis.
With gratitude,
Sherrod

Subject: We need to take care of each other
Right now, it's so important that we take care of each other.
We're all doing what we can to combat the coronavirus pandemic. Those of us who can, are working from home while frontline workers are keeping our communities running -- sometimes for low wages and without adequate protective gear.
Of course, it doesn't end there: Kids are home from school, we're washing our hands and sanitizing surfaces frequently, we're getting food at restaurants to go rather than dining in, and we're practicing social distancing.
As we make these necessary changes, the health crisis is taking a toll on hardworking families.
Millions of Americans have lost their jobs or have had to take reduced hours or wages. Others are forced to go into work, without the safety protections and the premium pay they deserve. Folks are struggling to make ends meet.
This is a challenge like we've never seen before, but I know that we will get through it together.
I'm fighting in the Senate to make sure hardworking Americans quickly get the support they need during this crisis and to ensure critical aid ends up in the hands of those who need it -- and not given to corporations to boost their executive bonuses or stock dividends.
There are ways you can help out, too.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to the National Diaper Network or the Ohio Association of Food Banks. These organizations are doing important work to provide essentials to families in need during the pandemic.
With gratitude,
Sherrod
