Hey folks — this is really important to me.
An Arizona judge just sided with a right-wing lobbying group in their effort to block a key part of my office’s Election Procedures Manual (EPM) designed to protect voters from intimidation and harassment. Chip in to help me and the DLGA fight back »
This is NOT democracy in action — it’s a farce. My team fought to hold harassers and intimidators accountable to keep voters safe in this election. Some examples of what the EPM prohibited include:👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽
- Blocking an entrance to a voting location
- Following voters to and from their vehicles at the polls
- Disseminating election misinformation at polling places
- Screaming at, recording, or following voters outside polling places
But it’s now all legal because the Free Enterprise Club thinks these are too “radical” — claiming it’s an issue of free speech.
I’m here to tell you that they are absolutely wrong, and here’s why.
Last election, we all saw the chaos and hostility that resulted from a coordinated group of MAGA extremists denying the election results. Now, the Free Enterprise Club is arguing in court that they want voters, election officials, and administrators to experience that again — and they want it to be easier for folks to get away with it. Not on my watch.
I believe that voters should be treated with respect and dignity. And I’ll never back down from fighting to protect voters and poll workers from harassment and intimidation.
But right now, I need you to stand with me and make it clear that we won’t be silenced. Can you contribute $7, $25, or whatever is meaningful to you to help me and the DLGA fight back against these outrageous attacks on our democracy?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation to the DLGA and Adrian Fontes will be processed immediately. |
Thanks for having my back and showing up to defend our democracy.
