We had a great turnout of over 1,300 seniors come out for a morning of informative health briefings and resources, an update on my work in Washington, and of course a few rounds of bingo. Thank you to all of the organizations, staff and volunteers who make this event possible every year. I already can't wait for next year's Senior Briefing! | Welcoming the First Cargo Ship Running on Green Methanol to Port of L.A. | Last week, I joined Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard, Maersk, and Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim to welcome the first Maersk cargo ship powered by green methanol to the Port of Los Angeles! The Aletta Maersk is the first cargo ship of it's kind to be powered by alternative clean energy, which will reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by over 65% over the course of its lifetime. This ship is a huge step towards reducing harmful emissions from ports and will help reduce emissions in port communities like Long Beach and Carson. | Rep.
