A Warm Welcome

We’re honored to celebrate a new set of stripes at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. First-time mom Jillian recently welcomed a healthy male Sumatran tiger cub! She’s taking to her new role exceptionally well, and is attentive, responsive, and patient.

The duo is currently bonding in a private maternity area, where they will likely remain until Jillian is ready for the cub to explore his big new world. Stay tuned for updates on when you can visit them at Tull Family Tiger Trail.

This monumental moment brings hope for a brighter future. Sumatran tigers are critically endangered, and scientists estimate that only 400–600 remain in their native ecosystems. With your support, we’re working to save, protect, and care for these critically endangered big cats through our Asia Conservation Hub. Your support makes it all possible. Thank you for being a special member of our family.
