Friend,
Last month, I had the honor of speaking at the Democratic National Convention before Governor Beshear took the stage. I shared my story—a story of survival, pain, and the importance of choice. Sharing my story will never get easier, but I will not stop until women and girls across the country have the reproductive freedom they deserve.
Growing up, I was the All-American girl. Varsity soccer captain, cheerleading captain, homecoming queen—and survivor. I survived years of abuse, and at just 12 years old, I took my first pregnancy test. It was positive. I’ll never forget the weight of that moment—but I was lucky. I had options.
Today, too many women and girls don’t. Donald Trump’s abortion bans have stripped away fundamental rights that should never have been up for debate. Trump called those bans a “beautiful thing.” I’ll ask him again and again, What’s beautiful about a child being forced to carry her abuser’s child? What’s beautiful about taking away the right to choose?
Kamala Harris knows this fight is far from over. She’s ready to sign a national law to restore the right to abortion and ensure that every woman and girl has control over her own future. That’s why I’m asking for your support today—not just for the Harris-Walz ticket, but for Democrats running down the ballot in Kentucky. We need leaders in our state legislature who will stand up for survivors, who will fight for our rights, and who will refuse to back down.
Your donation today can help us elect the leaders we need—leaders who will fight for women and girls who have been silenced for too long. Whether you can give $5, $25, or $100, every dollar counts in this fight.
