Hi folks,
I send you a lot of emails about the stakes of this election, and today is no different – but this time, it’s not about my own race.
This week marks the start of the DCCC’s Red Alert program, which identifies and highlights the Red to Blue candidates (who are trying to flip seats) and the Frontline members (incumbent House Democrats) running in some of the most competitive races across the country .
The program is designed to help folks channel their support to the races that need it most – and I’m sharing this with you because I know how much you care about helping Democrats take back the House majority.
These candidates are working around the clock to get their message out to voters to win in November and deliver for the American people in Congress. But they can’t do it alone. [[link removed]]
Here are the details on 10 candidates who need our help today:
Red to Blue candidates Amish Shah (AZ-01) and Carl Marlinga (MI-10) recently came out of competitive primaries and urgently need resources to build up a strong general election campaign in these final weeks.
New Hampshire's primary election is coming up on September 10 – the latest primary of any state – where three Republicans are vying to take on Rep. Chris Pappas (NH-01) in the general election. With the high cost of communicating in the Boston media market, Rep. Pappas needs support to make sure he has the resources to run an aggressive general election campaign as soon as the primary is over.
Shomari Figures (AL-02), Rep. Val Hoyle (OR-04), and Rep. Andrea Salinas (OR-06) are facing dark money being poured into their districts by Republican super PACs, and they need our help fighting back.
Republicans have already spent almost $2 million in south Texas supporting an anti-choice extremist – just this week, Republicans started reserving broadcast television for negative attacks against Rep. Vicente Gonzalez’s (TX-34). He needs support to get on the air and communicate his message to South Texans.
Derek Tran (CA-45), Curtis Hertel (MI-07), and Laura Gillen (NY-04 ) are running their races in some of the most expensive media markets in the country . They need to be able to get their message out and compete against right-wing, extremist attacks.
The DCCC Red Alert candidates need resources today. These are candidates in incredibly competitive districts where your support will have an immediate impact, so I’m asking:
Will you make a contribution today, split between these 10 Democratic candidates? You can donate to all 10 of these races at once by following this link. [[link removed]]
If we all come together to support these candidates running in some of the toughest races in the country, I know we can reach more voters, get out our key messages, increase turnout, and take back the House majority.
Thank you for all you do — and for taking the time to read this update and support these great Democrats!
