You probably have heard by now that Donald Trump thinks voting by mail will result in massive voter fraud. Of course, like most things he says, this is a self-serving lie.
The truth is, voting by mail is one of the most secure ways to vote, and it results in higher voter turnout, something Trump also knows is true, and is afraid of.
He knows if more Americans vote, it will mean landslide victories for Democrats up and down the ballot in 2020. They will stop at nothing to prevent vote by mail from catching on. They will even force states to try and hold in-person elections in the midst of a pandemic.

We are in an age of hyper voter suppression carried out at the hands of Donald Trump and his cronies - Brian Kemp, and the GOP. We must fight back against the attack on and erosion of our voting rights at all levels.

I've put out my DeKalb For the People Act, which I believe will combat voter suppression and expand voting rights at the local level. These policy changes will pave the way for higher voter turnout in our very Democratic blue county and will impact Congressional and statewide elections in 2020 and beyond.
Change happens at all levels. The change we are pushing forward can begin this June 9th with our primary election here in Georgia.
