9 out of 10 people in Gaza are displaced, many of whom have been displaced multiple times, including an estimated 43,580 pregnant women.

MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT

Each evacuation order upends lives and survival is uncertain. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are among the most vulnerable and can't easily flee.

Malak was pregnant when the war in Gaza started. Forced to flee the bombs and tanks, she spent months being repeatedly displaced and searching desperately for prenatal care.

When Malak went into labor, she faced an uncertain three hour drive to the hospital.

“I am worried about a lot of things,” she told UNFPA. “I’m afraid that on my way to give birth our car may be targeted by airstrikes.”

This is the reality pregnant women are facing across Gaza, which is why UNFPA has been supporting safe births since the day conflict erupted. Your gifts have delivered enough medicine and equipment to support more than half of all births since then.

As more women face perilous pregnancies ahead, they are counting on your sustained support. Will you make an emergency gift to deliver humanitarian aid to pregnant women in Gaza and beyond?

MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT

We condemn the violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.

Thank you for being there for women and girls.
