John,
I have some important news to share with you about our ongoing efforts to combat election misinformation.
I led an effort by several Secretaries of State from around the country to call out the platform formerly known as Twitter (now X) for its AI chatbot, “Grok” - which spread false information about election rules.
After an initially lackluster response, the company has finally taken action. X has fixed the issue after we pushed the company for immediate changes to ensure that voters receive accurate information.
This is a significant victory in our fight against election misinformation.
But let me be clear: the threat is far from over.
That’s why I’m asking for your support today. To keep up this critical work, we need to raise another $5,000 before the end of the week. Your contribution will help us ensure that every Minnesotan has access to accurate and reliable election information. Will you chip in $5 or more to help us hit our goal this week?

Misinformation continues to be one of the biggest challenges we face as we head toward the November election. The spread of false information—whether intentional or accidental—undermines our democracy and shakes the confidence of voters.
While it’s great that X responded to our concerns this time, we can’t afford to let our guard down. We must remain vigilant and continue to push back against any and all forms of disinformation.
Your support as we get closer to the election is more important than ever. We are doubling down our efforts to fight misinformation, and I need your help. Can I count on you to chip in $5 or more today to support our efforts?
Thank you for your unwavering support.
Steve
