Friend --
First, Donald Trump announced that he was going to speak at the West Point commencement ceremony -- putting 1,000 of our next generation of leaders at risk by requiring them to travel in and out of the epicenter of the coronavirus crisis.
Next, we immediately spoke out against this selfish and irresponsible action with a tweet that garnered more retweets than Trump's own tweet (by 8,000!):
And we launched a petition condemning this move by Trump that has already garnered tens of thousands of signatures from veterans and military families.
Then, VoteVets endorsed Senator and Iraq Army vet Tammy Duckworth and Air Force veteran Rep. Ted Lieu joined us in calling for Donald Trump to cancel his appearance:
Now, we're leading on this issue and we've been able to drum up public pressure because of the strength of our team -- but we're only able to garner this much traction because of grassroots support and financial resources.
Everything we do is fueled by the support of this grassroots team. We're counting on supporters just like you so we can continue doing the important work we do every day -- work that can save and impact real lives.
Will you make a donation -- of any amount -- to keep our critical advocacy work going?

Time and again we're able to mobilize our community because we're in the best position to get our message as far and wide as possible. We know how to take advantage of these moments to create real change. It's all because of your support, and we can't thank you enough.
