Don’t panic, but: election day is exactly two months from today.
I don't know about you, but I have a feeling this is somehow going to be both the longest and shortest two months of my life.
Some of you getting this email have only been hearing from me for a short while, but some of you have been here since the very beginning—either of this campaign, or even a few who’ve been with me since my very first run for office, back in 2018 when I flipped my seat and became the first Democrat to ever represent District 105.
It's been a long journey, and we're finally coming into the home stretch.
And as I said earlier this week, now is when we really need to kick our operation into high gear. North Carolina is a 50/50 tossup state even in a good year, and we can't afford to let up for even a moment as we do whatever we can to get our message out to voters and win.
They need to know that this is the campaign that stands with Main Street rather than Wall Street. This is the campaign that's going to invest in our communities and create opportunity for every North Carolinian. And this is the campaign that's going to stand with our teachers and our public employees so that North Carolina can attract the best and brightest to work for our state.
