I own a tutoring company and to say the last 30 days have been tough would be a drastic understatement. Still, I consider myself lucky. While we can't see our students in person, we have successfully been able to tutor online via Zoom and I'm starting to bring teachers back in one by one.

Still, the struggle is real. So many Floridians are sick, out of work, and reeling. I lost a friend to suicide last weekend and the pain being felt here in our community is real. That is not lost on me.

Nevertheless, we must fight onward. Today marks the first day since this crisis began that I'm going to ask for your help. I'm not in a primary, but we are running a strong grassroots campaign online and we are preparing for the big push as we get into the summer. In total, I need about $4000 to reach our goal for the month and that's what I need your help with today.

Join me and let's make real progressive change this fall. Let's hold these Republicans accountable for not putting people first as we deal with this disaster and for their policies which continue to leave too many people behind.

💻- They created an unemployment assistance website that did not work and the state hasn't even processed the claims of even 10% of those who need it.  Florida is now a national disgrace even as unemployment continues to grow.

🩺 - They refuse to expand medicaid and make healthcare more affordable for Floridians

📉 - Their failure to contain the outbreak with proper testing and now institute an increased level of testing has left us blind to the scope and scale of the outbreak. Now we are trying to form re-open plans without the kind of testing we need to do just that.  They have had weeks to get this right and they haven't. 

💸 - Along with the big banks, they are bailing out big companies while turning a blind eye to small businesses, independent contractors, and everyday workers.
