I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during this difficult time. As we continue to operate our campaign remotely, please know that online communications like this one are more important than ever.

I have to say, meeting with my staff, volunteers, and voters through video chats isn't quite the same as meeting in-person. But I’ve been so humbled to see that Team Levin has remained engaged and willing to help the CA-49 community.

⇒ In the last month, Team Levin volunteers have made over 10,000 check-in calls to the 65+ community throughout our district to see if there is anything that we can help with throughout this crisis.

⇒ With your generous support, we raised over $8,500 for San Diego and Orange County based food banks.

⇒ We have hosted weekly virtual town halls to keep residents informed about the latest developments with COVID-19.

These are bright spots that give us hope, but what’s become clear over the last month is that we must redouble our efforts on behalf of working families.

We’ve already seen the Republicans cynically use this crisis to weaken electoral protections. They’ve cited the coronavirus crisis as the reason to relax regulations for polluters. We’ve also seen them double down on their attempts to gut the Affordable Care Act.

John, these same Republicans are targeting my district, but our fundraising has scaled back over the last month and we need some support to keep up the pace.
