Around the District
This month, I have been traveling across the Third Congressional District of Mississippi meeting with constituents. I am thankful for my fellow Mississippians and their hard work throughout our communities. Every time I visit with residents of our great state, I am encouraged that the best is yet to come in Mississippi. Here are a few highlights of the places my staff and I have been.
I enjoyed the opportunity to speak with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors about my work in D.C. and across the Third District of Mississippi.
Recently, I stopped to visit with Jimmy May and several of his patrons at May’s Restaurant in Tylertown. I enjoyed the great food and fellowship. I am proud to represent the great people of Walthall County.
While in Brookhaven, I ran into retired U.S. Marine Frank McGee and had the opportunity to thank him for his military service. I'm grateful for all the men and women who serve our great country.
It was great being in Magnolia and meeting with Pike County Chancery Clerk Becky Buie. I am honored to represent Pike County in Congress and appreciate Becky and her staff for all they do.
Supporting our National Guard
I was honored to join other elected officials at the ribbon cutting for the new National Guard maintenance shop in Brandon. This state-of-the-art facility will ensure that our military equipment is maintained and ready to deploy across the globe on a moment’s notice.
Congratulations to my Policy Director, Elizabeth Joseph, for receiving the prestigious Patrick Henry Award from the National Guard Association of the United States. Elizabeth is a great asset to my team and advocate for the National Guard. I am proud of Elizabeth and appreciate her being recognized for her hard work and support of our National Guard.
