The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has become aware of a phishing attempt in which an unauthorized third party is sending emails on behalf of HHSC. These unauthorized emails are requesting verification or information updates related to an Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Proprietary System Operator contact list.
Please be advised that this is not a legitimate request from HHSC. We strongly urge you not to click on any links or provide any information in response to the phishing email.
HHSC will never request verification or information updates through third-party email addresses or websites.
To protect yourself and your agency:
- Do not share your personal credentials or any sensitive information.
- Verify the source of any communication before responding.
- Report any suspicious communications to HHSC EVV Operations.
