Freedom includes a woman’s right to choose. Period.

So when conservative judges and politicians try to take away our freedoms, we have to act. When a Texas judge overturned the 23-year Food and Drug Administration approval of Mifepristone, commonly known as the abortion pill, I immediately got to work to introduce legislation reaffirming the FDA, not extremist judges, has the final authority to regulate abortion medication.

I probably don’t have to tell anyone reading this email how monumental a blow this case could ultimately be to the reproductive freedom of millions of Americans.

I hate alarmist language, but this is a crisis.

When I entered the race, I did so on the cusp of a radicalized SCOTUS decision eliminating the long-held abortion protections for women in Roe v. Wade. During my time in the Army, I fought to defend the freedoms of this country overseas. I refuse to stand by while those very freedoms are being ripped away from millions of Americans here at home.

‘Choice is on the ballot’ isn’t just a campaign slogan to me. It is the result of a 50-year targeted attempt by far-right extremists to control women’s bodies and rip away their freedom. In 2022, we won on this message twice, and now I’m fighting to protect these freedoms in Congress.

Here’s what I know: Patriots fight for freedom. I fight on the side of patriots, and I know you do too.
