Welcome Miguel Herrera, our new Crime Stoppers Program Coordinator!
We are happy to announce that Miguel Herrera has joined the Public Safety Office as the new Program Coordinator for Texas Crime Stoppers. Let's hear from Miguel...….
"Howdy! My name is Miguel Herrera, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as a new member of the Texas Crime Stoppers team. As a Texas A&M University graduate, my career has centered on creating opportunities for young people to gain valuable career experiences.
In my previous role as a Job Development Specialist with the Travis County Summer Youth Employment Program, I was instrumental in building partnerships with local governments, law enforcement agencies, non-profits, and private companies. These collaborations were essential in motivating youth to explore careers in law enforcement, technology, and healthcare. I guided students through their professional journeys, providing mentorship and helping them develop crucial skills for success. Additionally, I connected them with the necessary resources and support, significantly impacting their growth and development. By fostering strong relationships with community stakeholders, I ensured that our programs were both effective and sustainable.
Driven by a passion for addressing community needs, I look forward to leveraging my experience in partnership building and community engagement to contribute to the well-being of others. My goal is to support initiatives that promote safer and stronger communities through my background in community engagement and youth development.
Gig ‘Em Aggies!"
- Miguel
