As Childhood Cancer Awareness Month begins, we’re reflecting on the unfathomable challenges so many children with cancer are fighting: painful lifelong symptoms, countless treatments, isolation, fear and uncertainty.
This is the heartbreaking reality for wish kids like 5-year-old Penny. She fought through the setbacks of her cancer – like losing her vision and some of her hearing – with her tremendous bravery and the hope and joy of her most heartfelt wish. Because of supporters like you, she got her very own play clinic in her backyard and performed exams just like the practitioners who helped her through her toughest days.
