Your periodic reminder that rationing gas powered vehicles is a feature, not a bug, of this agenda. Now, more than ever, we need to Save Our Cars.

The Telegraph (9/2/24) reports: "Car makers are rationing sales of petrol and hybrid vehicles in Britain to avoid hefty net zero fines, according to one of the country’s biggest dealership chains. Robert Forrester, chief executive of Vertu Motors, said manufacturers were delaying deliveries of cars until next year amid fears they will otherwise breach quotas set for them by the Government. This means someone ordering a car today at some dealerships will not receive it until February, he said. At the same time, Mr Forrester warned manufacturers and dealers were grappling with a glut of more expensive electric vehicles (EVs) that are 'not easily finding homes.' He said: 'In some franchises there’s a restriction on supply of petrol cars and hybrid cars, which is actually where the demand is. 'It’s almost as if we can’t supply the cars that people want, but we’ve got plenty of the cars that maybe they don’t want. They [manufacturers] are trying to avoid the fines. So they’re constraining the ability for us to supply petrol cars in order to try and keep to the government targets.'"

"The overwhelming majority of green energy subsidies reward politically powerful constituencies and businesses whose primary purpose is not to build better energy mousetraps but to build only ones that qualify for the largest subsidies."

It's time for Big Green, Inc. to put-up or shut-up.

Just The News (8/29/24) reports: "At a recent town hall meeting in Jackson, Wyoming, Rep. Harriet Hageman, R-Wyo., offered a simple proposal. If Boulder, Colorado, truly believes that fossil fuels are so destructive, why not prove that life is better without them by giving them up?  Anti-fossil fuel crusaders and renewable energy proponents have been unsuccessful in producing a demonstration project in which a small town powers its electricity grid entirely on wind, solar and batteries for at least one year...Hageman, who serves on the House Natural Resources Committee, is proposing a similar idea, but instead of powering Boulder’s grid with 100% renewable energy, which the town is already committed to do by 2030, Hageman suggests the flip side of the coin — eliminate fossil fuels. 'My point of pushing for a pilot project is to expose — once and for all — these snake oil salesmen for what they truly are. If we were to actually give up our use of coal, oil, and gas, we would immediately revert to living in third-world, harsh and deplorable conditions,' Hageman told Just the News."

Vice President Harris is running away from her energy record and the media is more than happy to memory hole it for her.  Luckily we have podcasts like The Energy Show where we can set the record straight.

All federal leases are equal, but some federal leases are more equal than others.

Daily Caller (8/29/24) reports: "The Biden administration proposed to open up tens of millions of acres of public lands to solar development on Thursday after cementing restrictions on oil and gas activity across large swaths of Alaska. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) rolled out its proposed 'Western Solar Plan,' which would put approximately 31 million acres across 11 western states on the table for possible solar development. The agency’s solar plan comes on the heels of its Tuesday announcement that it had finalized protections for 28 million acres of public land in Alaska that will effectively prohibit oil and gas activity on that acreage...BLM’s restrictive actions in Alaska earlier this week are the latest example of the Biden administration’s efforts to crack down on fossil fuel activity on public lands and waters. The administration tried to halt new oil and gas leasing on federally-controlled land and water in 2021 before courts intervened, issued the skimpiest five-year offshore oil leasing schedule in modern U.S. history, retroactively canceled oil and gas leases and restricted future development in about half of the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A)."
