Announcing this year's Pro Bono Honoree: Blank Rome
The National Homelessness Law Center is proud to name Blank Rome as the 2024 Pro Bono Award Recipient at the Human Right to Housing Awards. In 2024 alone, Blank Rome provided outstanding pro bono work, which enabled the Law Center and its partners to make the strongest showing possible in Johnson v. Grants Pass. Blank Rome served as amicus brief counsel for Stronghearts Native Helpline and other tribal advocacy organizations.

The firm also provided pro bono support to the Law Center when we agreed to represent members of Congress in their amicus brief in support of Gloria Johnson. The resulting brief was highlighted at the congressional press conference before the US Supreme Court and has been cited numerous times by its many congressional signatories in the ongoing legislative work of ending homelessness and ceasing the punishment of unhoused persons.

For these reasons and many more, we are thrilled to honor Blank Rome this year!

Stay tuned as we announce the rest of this year’s honorees...
