In Missouri, it seems like every year we fight against Republican efforts to erode our wages by making us a so-called “Right to Work” state, ban abortion with no exceptions, and degrade our rural communities and our environment by destroying family farms and replacing them with massive, foreign-owned agribusiness operations that pollute our air and water with impunity.

We win some of these fights, and we lose others—but we never stop fighting, and we never stop competing.

Right now, we have a unique chance to turn the tide here. Leaders like Kathy and our candidate for Governor, Nicole Galloway, are reaching new and historically Republican voters who are disillusioned with the regressive, zero-sum politics of the current GOP. When they win, we all lose.
