Former Dearborn Heights Man Extradited from Guam to Face Sexual Assault Charges 





*LANSING *– Last week Jordan Wagner, 30, formerly of Dearborn Heights and most recently residing in Guam, was extradited back to Wayne County to face charges of Criminal Sexual Conduct (CSC), announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. The U.S. Marshals Service returned Wagner to the State of Michigan and into custody at the Dearborn Police Department last week before an arraignment Tuesday, August 27th, on one count of First-Degree CSC and three counts of Second-Degree CSC as part of the ongoing, recently announced, Operation Survivor Justice [ [link removed] ]. Second-Degree CSC is a 15-year felony, and First-Degree CSC is a potential life-sentence offense. He remains jailed in the Wayne County Criminal Justice Complex and appeared again before the 19th District Court in Dearborn this morning for a probable cause conference. 

Wagner is accused of sexually assaulting a pre-teen relative during a brief visit to her home in 2012. The victim reported the attack eight years later in 2020, and Wagner was charged by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office with the four felony counts in December of that year. At that time, it was known Wagner was residing in Guam, though extradition proved cost-prohibitive for local agencies.   

Funding was allocated this year for Wagner’s extradition from the recently announced $1 million state appropriation to fund Operation Survivor Justice. The Operation is a partnership between the Michigan Department of Attorney General, local County Prosecutors, and the U.S. Marshals Service to locate, apprehend, and return to Michigan fugitive offenders with outstanding sexual assault warrants.   

“This extradition from Guam on four-year-old assault charges shows how Operation Survivor Justice is extending the long arm of the law and reprioritizing victims of sex assaults perpetrated years ago,” Nessel said. “By returning these fugitive defendants back to Michigan to stand trial, we are giving victims an opportunity for healing and closure, expanding our ability to hold offenders accountable, and making safer communities across the country.” 

Wagner will next appear before the 19th District Court on December 4, 2024.
