Applications Is Open for the Electric Home Tour 2024:
Showcase Your Electrified Home and Inspire the Community!

Acterra is excited to announce our Electric Home Tour 2024! This year's tours will showcase a range of electrified homes in the Peninsula and South Bay neighborhoods. At Electric Home Tour, our mission is to empower homeowners to make informed decisions about switching from gas to electric home appliances. Buildings that burn fossil fuels contribute significantly to greenhouse gas emissions, and by upgrading your home to electric appliances, you can play a crucial role in combating climate change.


Currently, we are looking for enthusiastic homeowners who have implemented electrification measures in their homes and are ready to share their green living experiences with the community. The first tour is scheduled for October 19th, 2024. The application to become a tour host is open until September 10.

To take part in the Home Tour, the requirements are:
Your home should have at least 2-3 major appliances such as a heat pump for home heating and cooling, a heat pump for water heating, an induction range or cooktop, or an electric clothes dryer.

The home must be located on the Peninsula or in the South Bay, specifically within San Mateo or Santa Clara Counties.

Be available throughout the event on October 19th, from 11 AM to 3 PM, to answer questions from visitors. Volunteers will be on hand to support homeowners during the event.Become a Tour Host
