Dear Friend, 

When you attend a Holy Mass, you undoubtedly pray before a Crucifix. For Holy Masses on weekends, you may even see an altar boy carrying a Crucifix, during the procession to the altar. 

When at a social event, the theatre or just shopping, you may notice people’s Crosses or Crucifixes on t-shirts, necklaces, bracelets, earrings or even tattoos. As you enter a family’s home for a meal, you may observe a Cross. 

Do you realize how significant the Cross is, not only during Holy Mass and religious gatherings but in our everyday lives?

If you have not done so, please submit your intentions <[link removed]?> for the Ten Days of Holy Masses: the Exaltation of the Holy Cross – the 7 Sorrows of Our Lady, from September 6 – September 15, which will include: 

The Feast Day of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross on September 14

The Feast Day of the 7 Sorrows of Our Lady on September 15

Please include an intention for our Shepherd, Cardinal Burke, that he will receive an abundance of grace.
