Out of State Physician Surrenders License

OLYMPIA, WA – In August 2024, Steven Wayne Powell, MD (Lic. #61017983) entered into a Stipulation to Informal Disposition with the Washington Medical Commission (WMC) voluntarily surrendering his license to practice medicine in the state of Washington.

The WMC alleged that in July 2023, while under investigation for unprofessional conduct, Dr. Powell entered into a Stipulation and Agreement for Voluntary Surrender of License with the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr. Powell resides in the state of Georgia but also has a license to practice in WA.Dr. Powell’s medical license has also been suspended, surrendered, or revoked in fourteen other states.
