Message from Rep. Tracey Mann. Having Trouble Viewing? Click Here. Fellow Kansan, Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter! This week, I am meeting with Kansans in the Big First and look forward to hearing how I can continue to serve you in Congress. I am also excited for the Kansas State Fair. I hope you will join me in supporting our local 4-H clubs, FFA chapters, and community exhibitors in Hutchinson over the next two weeks. Follow me on social media to see more of my work across the Big First this week. I do not serve in Congress to be a caretaker in the slow demise of America – I serve to fight and work to make it stronger. That's what I am doing while believing our brightest days are yet to come. Yours in service, Click below to follow me on social media. Mann.House.Gov Standing with Our Ally, Israel Like many Americans, Audrey and I were devastated to learn about the brutal murders of the six Israeli hostages over the weekend. I was especially heartbroken to discover that Hersh Goldberg-Polin, an Israeli-American, was one of the victims of this harsh act of terrorism. Enough is enough. The U.S. must unequivocally stand with our strongest ally in the Middle East, Israel, and we need an administration that reflects our unwavering support. In the eleven months since Hamas terrorist attacked Israel, the Biden-Harris Administration has continued to play political games with Israel's right to defend itself by making double-sided statements and withholding crucial military assistance to please their radical base. The longer President Biden and Vice President Harris dance around our stalwart support of Israel, the more lives are at risk. The United States will not negotiate or play nice with terrorists. For the past three and a half years, it has been abundantly clear that the Biden-Harris Administration's appeasement toward Iran is failing. We can't continue to pretend that President Biden and Vice President Harris can be trusted with our security in the region. Our adversaries are watching. On the Road PrairieFood Last week, I visited PrairieFood in Pratt. PrairieFood offers a micro-carbon soil amendment derived from readily available biomass waste sources. During the tour, I learned more about PrairieFood's business and the importance of soil health. Passing a fiscally conservative Farm Bill that benefits farmers, ranchers, agricultural producers, and agribusinesses like PrarieFood is key to getting America back on track. Thank you for allowing me to visit your facility and for the work you do to feed, fuel, and clothe the world. St. Catherine Hospital I appreciated speaking with leadership at the St. Catherine Hospital in Dodge City. The high cost of prescription drugs continues to put a strain on many Kansans' wallets, which is why programs like 340-B are so important. Despite the health care industry facing many challenges like staffing shortages, staff at St. Catherine Hospital persevere so patients can receive the care that they deserve. Thank you for meeting with me and for all your work in caring for your neighbors. Warrior Project Biogas Facility America needs an "all the above" energy approach to be successful. I enjoyed learning more about Warrior Project's Biogas Facility during my tour last week. Through this essential service, the facility produces natural biogas while treating wastewater, which helps provide energy that is reliable and affordable. As a member of the House Biofuels Caucus, I am proud to advocate for policies that allow facilities like Warrior Project's Biogas Facility to power the world. Thank you for showing me your facility and for your important work. Hy-Plains Feedyard Agriculture is the heartbeat of the Big First, and people like Tom Jones help drive the success of agriculture across America. I appreciated seeing the Hy-Plains facility and discussing important issues like immigration and labor. With American agricultural employers attempting to operate amid a workforce shortage, record-high inflation, and some of the worst growing seasons we have seen in decades, the federal government should stop handcuffing our agricultural producers with burdensome regulations. Thank you, Tom, for your role in feeding, fueling, and clothing the world. MJE Last week, I visited MJE in Montezuma. MJE is the largest agriculture construction business in the region and provides essential services for the agricultural community. I spoke with Heather Jantz about MJE's upcoming projects and the effects of inflation on their industry. Congress must reduce and reprioritize government spending to fight inflation and build an economy that works for Americans. As part of my Commitment to the Big First, I am fighting to rein in wasteful government spending and invest in programs that provide a strong return on taxpayer dollars. Thank you, Heather, for meeting with me and for supporting Agriculture across our region. SAFFiRE Renewables Groundbreaking SAFFiRE Renewables is an innovative technology company focused on producing ethanol from corn stover to create ultralow carbon sustainable aviation fuel. I was pleased to speak at the groundbreaking of SAFFiRE Renewables' new biofuel plant in Liberal. With agriculture and aviation as two of our state's largest industries, I have no doubt that SAFFiRE Renewables will be able to execute their goal of creating aviation fuel from "farm to flight." The biofuels industry is an important piece of rural communities and supports local economies through careers, market development, and affordable energy. I appreciated the opportunity to welcome them to the Liberal community. Air Products Production Plant Last week, I toured Air Products' production plant in Liberal to learn more about their helium production process and engagement in the community. America must prioritize domestic energy production to ensure that we never have to rely on foreign markets and to drive down costs for users. Companies like Air Products play a key role in developing the "all of the above" energy approach America needs to be successful. This year, I was proud to support H.R. 7176, the Unlocking our Domestic LNG Potential Act of 2024, which would support businesses like Air Products by lifting the pause on liquid and natural gas exports and removing unelected bureaucrats from the export approval process. Thank you, Air Products, for showing me your production plant and for the important role you play in American energy production and the community. Minneola Healthcare Center I appreciated touring the Minneola Healthcare Center last week. Health care should not be a one-size-fits-all policy, and flexibility in the health care system is critical so that Kansans can receive the care that they deserve. All Kansas should have access to affordable, quality, and accessible health care. Thank you to all Minneola Healthcare Center staff for the important work you do to keep your neighbors healthy and safe. High Plains Panderosa Dairy and Shell Digester As Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee's Subcommittee on Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry, it is a privilege working on behalf of groups like High Plains Panderosa Dairy and Shell Digester. Last week, I toured High Plains' dairy facility with Carl Clawson and Greg Bethard and discussed their upcoming expansion. We also discussed the need to streamline the H-2A visa process so that farmers, ranchers, and agricultural producers can continue feeding, fueling, and clothing the world without delay. Thank you, Carl and Greg, for inviting me to visit your facility, and for the work you do to improve Kansas agriculture.
