John, it's official. We have just under NINE WEEKS to go until the general election, so we wanted to take a moment to share nine different ways you can help us block Trump’s authoritarianism, and build progressive power:
1. Sign up for one of our amazing organizing teams. If calling, texting, or sending postcards to voters sounds like something you’d be interested in, this is for you! Someone from the team will reach out and help get you up to speed.
2. Check out all of our volunteer opportunities across the country, and join us at an upcoming event — either virtually or in a WFP state or campaign near you. We have trainings, mass calls, canvasses, and more happening almost every day until November, with more events added every week.
3. Sign up to make a WEEKLY recurring donation to our general election fund between now and November 5th. This is a BIG ask, but it will help ensure that we have all the resources we need to elect Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and our massive tent of progressive champions up and down the ballot.
4. If you’re not in a position to commit to a weekly donation, make a one-time contribution instead. We are a people-powered organization, and every bit helps.
5. Sign up to become a dues-paying member of WFP with a monthly donation of $10 or more. This is the best choice for folks who want to get involved and STAY involved with our nationwide work, even after November 5th.
6. Follow us on Instagram, Threads, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok. We share a lot of graphics, articles, and videos on social media that you otherwise might miss. This is a great way to stay in the loop! (And don't forget to follow all of our WFP states too!)
7. Sign up for text updates from WFP by filling out this form or by texting WFP to 30403.
8. If you’re relatively new to our email list, visit WorkingFamilies.org and learn more about our history, our organizing philosophy, and the candidates we’ve endorsed in your area — or join us for an upcoming welcome gathering to learn even more.
9. Forward this email to 9 friends or family members who want to get involved this election cycle, but don’t know the best place to jump in!
And lastly, don’t feel pressured to do ALL of these things. There are a lot of ways for us all get involved and make a positive impact this election cycle — pick whichever you’re comfortable with!
In solidarity,
Team WFP
