Election Day, when most Americans will head to the polls, is just nine weeks from yesterday. (And if you can believe it, in some states, early voters will start casting their ballots in less than two weeks!)

To some of us, it feels like candidates have been running in their 2024 races for a long time. We’re ready to vote! We know which candidates will help protect the fundamental values we care about — including reproductive rights, women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, combating systemic racism, and more!

But the truth is, many Americans are just starting to tune in for the first time. Especially for down-ballot offices, voters will be learning about candidates and deciding who to vote for up until Election Day.

The work we do over the next nine weeks may decide some of those state-level races, where candidates can win or lose by just a few hundred votes.
