Resources on COVID-19 and Heart Disease
WomenHeart has a webpage to provide women living with and at risk of
heart disease resources on COVID-19. These include our one-page
factsheet with tips and advice for everyday living, managing health
and stress, seeking medical care and taking medications. In addition,
the page links to videos, webinars and blogs that provide information
about WomenHeart's response to the pandemic, our advocacy work

Take Action for Women's Health and Economic Security
Women with heart disease are at greater risk of serious illness if
they become infected with COVID-19. Yet many of these women still have
to go to work, leaving many with an impossible choice - risk
their physical health to bring home a paychek or risk their economic
security to stay home. WomenHeart is asking Congress for better paid
leave policies for those at greater risk of serious illness if
infected with COVID-19. Add your voice and ask Congress to protect
women with heart disease.

2020 Wenger (no woman)
Wenger Awards Update
WomenHeart announced earlier this month that we are canceling this
year's in-person Wenger Awards Dinner (originally planned for
May 18, 2020 in Washington, DC). We remain committed to recognizing
the leadership, support and advocacy of cardiologists, researchers,
policy makers and others to the field of women's heart health.
In that spirit, we look forward to re-imagining a ceremony to honor
this year's awardees and will make announcements as plans are
developed.
