Economic Democracy Weekly

For Labor Day week, our Economic Democracy Weekly focuses on organizing in the South, with a focus on worker justice. We begin with two articles from NPQ’s magazine issue on escaping corporate capture—one focused on regional Black worker organizing in the South and the second on an effort to build a Black nationalist-inspired solidarity economy in Jackson, MS. Next, from our “We Stood Up” series, a first-person account of organizing at a Waffle House restaurant in Atlanta. Lastly, we feature a story on how labor organizers are using board and role-playing games to challenge corporate power.
