John,
Yesterday, a New York Times article confirmed what we’ve long known: JD Vance is a dangerous threat to women’s freedoms. As a staunch Christian fundamentalist, he has made it clear that he will stop at nothing to strip women of our basic rights.
Vance’s cozy ties with the Heritage Foundation should alarm us all. In 2017, he endorsed and wrote the introduction to a report by this far-right think tank—a report that laid the groundwork for a radical agenda against sexual and reproductive freedoms, which the Trump administration eagerly adopted.
Vance praised this report as "admirable." It pushed a restrictive vision for American families, called for limiting access to fertility treatments, making abortion "unthinkable," and pressuring women into early motherhood.
Let’s be clear—JD Vance isn’t just holding outdated, harmful views; he’s working to impose them on all of us. This is couch-based politics, utterly disconnected from the reality that the majority of Americans support safe access to abortion care.
A Trump-Vance administration would be catastrophic for women—for all of us, John.
