We’re almost 24 hours away from our April end-of-month fundraising deadline, and still not quite at our goal of $50,000. I hope you’ll let me explain why this goal is so critical to our campaign in Mississippi.

In 2018, with a surge of grassroots support, I came closer to winning a U.S. Senate seat than any other Democrat in Mississippi since 1982. We lost by a single digit.

We did what nobody thought we’d come close to doing, and that’s a big reason why I made the decision to run for Senate again in 2020: I believe that with enough time, effort, and resources this time around, we can win. I believe in us.

But the only way we’ll flip another Senate seat and defeat Cindy Hyde-Smith this time around is by building the biggest and best campaign Mississippi has ever seen.
