John, some will
have you believe that AIPAC, the anti-Palestinian lobby group funded by
Republican megadonors and corporate special interests, is moderate.

[ [link removed] ]Tweet from Beth Miller: It is obscene to call a group that spend $100m
to scare electeds into supporting military funding for a foreign
government that is slaughtering and starving Palestinians “moderate.”
AIPAC’s policies are extremist and their tactics are build around fear.

primaries]

Make no mistake: AIPAC threatens the foundation of our democracy by buying
elections and using its war chest to scare elected officials into giving
unconditional support to Israel’s genocidal, right-wing government.

AIPAC may have won in New York and St Louis this summer by spending over
$25 million in the most expensive congressional primaries in history, but
that doesn’t mean they’re winning. With your support, we’re giving them a
run for their money, forcing them to spend more than ever before to win
races and push for policies that the majority of voters reject.

By not backing down from AIPAC, our progressive bloc in Congress is not
only fighting for human rights for all people but fighting back against
fascism and the corporate takeover of our democracy. Our mandate is clear:
we must get big money out of politics. [ [link removed] ]If you agree, support Justice

When our Party discusses fascism, we often focus on Donald Trump — and
while he is a major threat to our democracy, solely focusing on Trump
ignores the systemic issues we face, like our broken campaign finance
system that enables AIPAC to wield such power and influence.

This fight is bigger than AIPAC: the lobby group has created a blueprint
for right-wing Super PACs to try buying elections and put forth a playbook
that is now being replicated by other corporate and wealthy interests,
like the cryptocurrency and Big Tech industries. It’s beyond time for the
Democratic Party to get serious about campaign finance reform and take big
money out of politics once and for all.

Primary battles like Jamaal Bowman’s and Cori Bush’s are an assault on our
democracy, and no Super PAC—no matter the issue or ideology—should be
allowed to spend this much money in our elections. Now is the time we put
people back at the center of our democracy, and democracy back at the
center of our Party.

Every single one of our progressive priorities faces the same obstacle: a
broken campaign finance system that allows corporations and special
interest groups to control our Democratic agenda with their wallets. If we
want an end to the genocide in Palestine, Medicare for All, and a Green
New Deal, then we have to end a system that prioritizes the needs of
corporate defense contractors, Big Pharma and health insurance companies,
and Big Oil and the fossil fuel industry over the priorities of everyday
people.

The Joe Manchin’s and Kyrsten Sinema’s of the world don’t obstruct labor
law legislation or climate change policies for themselves, but on behalf
of their biggest corporate benefactors who have bought that influence in
Congress.

Many of the same donors who are spending against progressives like Cori
and Jamaal are threatening Kamala Harris to back their corporate policies,
or else.

[ [link removed] ]The entire Democratic Party must fight back against these interests if
we want to have a reflective, social democracy that centers people, not
corporate interests. If you’re with us, fuel the fight ahead by pitching
in whatever you can afford now.
