We’ve had two presidential debates so far. And while I’m thrilled at how much attention Medicare for All has received, the current scattershot format isn’t cutting it. We need a debate committed entirely to health care.

We live in a nation where more than 28 million Americans are uninsured; countless families are forced into crippling debt in order to receive life-saving care; and pharmaceutical executives can afford to buy yachts with helipads.

This corrupt, dysfunctional health care system will not be solved by viral quips and one-line zingers. Add your name today and demand a REAL health care debate.

This story — and the stories like it — make one thing clear: we must demand accountability from Congress. How many more lives are they willing to condemn and throw away for the sake of CEO profits?

This is the debate format the American people want and deserve. Medicare for All has 118 cosponsors in the House, and is supported by 85% of all Democratic voters. Constantly interrupting candidates and confining them to 30 seconds doesn’t do justice to the very real stakes of this fight.
