Dear John,
BIG news for all New Yorkers who care about Workers’ Rights:
We just launched a new Employer Violations Dashboard, a searchable transparency tool that tracks workplace violations across New York City. It’s the first-ever comprehensive labor violations dashboard in the city. Think of it as a Wall of Shame for the most exploitative NYC employers who commit safety violations, wage theft, discrimination, and more. |
Search for exploitative employers, track violations, and browse violations on our new dashboard.
While most NYC employers have not violated the law, New Yorkers deserve to know which ones have. We’re looking at you, Amazon, Chipotle, Gucci (and many more).
VIDEO: Watch Matan from our Workers’ Rights team show you what the dashboard looks like and how it works: |
I’m really proud of our Workers’ Rights team for putting together this powerful resource to protect workers. Along with returning more than $8 million in stolen wages to workers since 2022, this team works tirelessly to enforce prevailing wages and uphold workers’ rights.
Here’s the bottom line: When companies steal their workers’ wages, commit unfair labor practices, or put workers’ lives at risk, the public should be able to clearly see it. I hope this tool can serve as a resource for workers, customers, neighbors, and other businesses as they are looking to work with employers who respect workers’ rights. In solidarity, Brad |
