I’ll make it quick today. Here are just five sentences that sum up how I’m feeling heading into the fall of a presidential election year:

The maps that we will be voting on in November are fairer than ever.

This is great news for democracy and we have a good shot at electing leaders that will hold the line against MAGA policies and continue to fight for fair maps.

But voters have to show up — so we have to help get out the vote.

Gerrymandering still poses a critical threat to our democracy, with opponents of fair maps actively undermining redistricting reforms, electing Election Deniers, and threatening mid-decade map redraws.
