This past weekend, we saw a few polls in key swing states come out showing Kamala Harris polling behind Donald Trump in the race for the White House.
While this sounds like bad news, it’s not indicative of the HUGE energy that Kamala Harris has generated in the few weeks since becoming the official Democratic nominee. We can not rely on these polls (especially from outlets that swing heavily right or left).
Think back to 8 years ago when Hillary started to take the lead in polls across the nation. We got complacent and comfy back then thinking the polls were a sign of a done deal. Instead, we got four years of gross mismanagement by a self-obsessed failed businessman – and now a convicted felon. 🤡
We got played in 2016, and the GOP is hoping we will fall for their tired old playbook yet again.
The stakes are too high for us to be fooled into missing out on the chance to elect the first female President – and only logical choice – Kamala Harris in November. We can really show the GOP that their tired old playbook doesn’t work anymore by electing Kamala Harris and keeping the Senate blue – something we can only do with your help. Can I count on you to chip in $5 to the fight?
In addition to the skewed polls, name calling, and general spreading of misinformation, Trump is literally showing folks where his loyalties lie. Spoiler alert, it’s not union workers. 👎
Kamala Harris and Tim Walz spent their long weekend with union workers across the nation while Trump spent the day posting on social media about “Comrade Kamala”. Some would say he is scared, but I say he is just showing his true colors.
The bottom line is that Trump is showing us that he *does not care* about the average working American through his actions, be it pushing aside staff at our national cemetery or his glaring absence during a national holiday.
I’m so proud that President Biden and Vice-President Harris chose to spend their Labor Day in the greatest city of all time: Pittsburgh! Together, they have been the most pro-labor President and VP in our history – something I can’t wait to keep going with the Harris/Walz ticket. 💪
