In Los Angeles, Labor Day weekend was met with celebration — parades, festivals, and more — to acknowledge the contributions working people and families have made to the progress and prosperity of our communities.

Working families are the backbone of this City – and always have been. That’s why we raised wages for city workers, ensuring those who keep our City moving every day are paid living wages.

This is what progress for working families looks like with intentional leadership and a broad coalition. These are the steps we can build upon together to improve the lives of working Angelenos — something I work on every day as your Mayor, in both this term and the next.
