Without a Democratic Senate majority to do the same, Ted Cruz, Rick Scott, Tommy Tuberville, Josh Hawley, and more GOP senators could once again object to the election results and fan the flames that brought Trump’s insurrectionists into the Capitol in 2021.
And without Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the White House, Trump would have the far-right Supreme Court’s broad presidential immunity for “official acts” to carry out the threats he has made for years, like investigating and imprisoning Adam and other Democrats for having the courage to hold him accountable.
John, 139 House Republicans and 8 Republican senators voted to overturn the 2020 election, and those Republicans who dared to stand up to Trump have been purged from the party.
The only guardrail remaining to stop him is the ballot box. Mitch McConnell will not. Mike Johnson will not. The Supreme Court will not. Only we can — by working together to win this election by margins that even Trump cannot call into question.
