Last week, we had a special meeting with almost all of our Pennsylvania candidates about how Her Bold Move could help ensure Republicans don’t win the majority in November.

The takeaway: We have plans for a big push in PA in these final months before Election Day.

The reason: Pennsylvania Republicans have been unequivocal about saying that they want to bring an anti-abortion referendum if they get the majority, which the Democratic Governor would be unable to block. Therefore, reproductive rights in PA hinge on whether Dems keep the majority this fall -- and the margins between Democratic control and Republican control are too thin for comfort in the state's legislature (4 seats TOTAL could make or break the future for this critically important state).

The plan: We have already begun endorsing fiercely pro-choice and progressive women running for office in competitive districts around the state. Pennsylvania Democrats hold a one-seat majority in the House, and we are within striking distance of gaining a majority in the Senate.

Through our Candidate Connections program, we have also held brainstorming sessions with all of our PA candidates to give them the space to share tips and tricks as they enter these critical weeks ahead of November and to hear how we can best support their campaigns.
