Newsweek: Greg Abbott Removes 1 Million People From Texas Voter Rolls [[link removed]]
John: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott trumpeted Texas' purging of more than 1,000,000 voters under their 2021 voter suppression law. “ That removal process has been, and will continue to be, ongoing ,” Abbot’s office said.
Partisan election officials conduct these mass registered voter removals, as required by recent Texas voter suppression laws -- laws that include limits on mail-in ballots, drop boxes, laws targeting only Harris County (home to Houston), and so much more.
T hese purges disenfranchise legitimate registered voters who haven’t moved or had other changes to their status as voters . It's legalized voter suppression at its worst.
Abbott's office continues to malign voters without proof. " Illegal voting in Texas will never be tolerated. We will continue to actively safeguard Texans' sacred right to vote while also aggressively protecting our elections from illegal voting ." They said this even after spending millions of taxpayer dollars looking for voter fraud in the 2020 election and finding nothing.
Voter suppression is real, John, not just in Texas but across the country. Push back on these cynical purges with $25 or whatever you can today to protect the right to vote nationwide >> [[link removed]]

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
