Here’s the deal, folks.
For years, the special interests in Washington knew they could count on David Valadao to help them gut Medicare, scrap the Affordable Care Act, and rubber stamp their tax giveaways to the ultra-wealthy.
We changed that when I was elected. But we won by the skin of our teeth — by just 862 votes. Now, the Republicans are back, and their leading super PAC has already earmarked $1.6 million for attack ads against me.
Trump has personally admitted that he wants Valadao back “badly” and it’s no secret why. Before we unseated him, David Valadao voted with Trump 98% of the time including with his vote to take away health care from 60,000 of his own constituents.
Think of this $1.6 million from Donald Trump and his allies as a down payment to bring back Mr. Valadao so they can finish the job.
Make no mistake: This race will be the most competitive contest in California -- possibly in the entire country. The GOP is desperate for a win, and we expect a ton of outside money to begin pouring into our community.
But this grassroots team is strong. If you're with us, I know we can win this race again:
Before this deadline hits, let’s remind David Valadao how powerful this team is. Can you make a $3 donation to our campaign today?
Thank you,
TJ
A note about contributions: TJ Cox is rejecting all corporate PAC donations, and it was support from individual donors like you who helped TJ flip CA-21 from red to blue in 2018. We know this is a difficult time. Take care of yourself and your loved ones, and only consider contributing to our campaign if you can afford to do so. |
