Keeping Families Together & Parole in Place (PiP) Updates
On June 18, President Joe Biden announced ([link removed]) a new program that will allow certain spouses of United States citizens to apply for “parole-in-place" (PiP) from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). While the program began accepting applications on August 19th, on August 26th, 2024, a Texas district court issued a temporary administrative stay ([link removed]) barring the federal government from granting Keeping Families Together Parole applications for 14 days. Nevertheless, USCIS will continue to accept filings of Form I-131F applications even though no applications will be granted.
