Earlier this summer, we introduced the opportunity to write to voters living abroad. These U.S. citizens retain the right to vote, but they receive almost no outreach encouraging them to do so or reminding them of the necessary steps to vote from abroad. This means that our letters to these voters are likely to be extra effective, and that’s why we’re launching a new campaign to encourage them to return their overseas ballots.
As a reminder, these are Political campaigns—which means you’ll be writing to Democratic-leaning voters—and are different from our other campaigns in a couple of ways:
- These letters will require international forever stamps, which currently cost $1.65 each.
- Letters for this campaign can be sent as soon as they are written, but no later than October 1. Please take care to keep them separate from any letters you’re writing for campaigns with a mail date later this year.
