The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released their annual proposed rules for the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) and Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS), with a 60-day comment period that ends on Monday, September 9. Please join us in signing onto our comment letters below. These proposed rules cover critical issues that are important for the delivery of high quality, affordable, and equitable care for our nation's seniors and all those who rely on Medicare for their health care

MPFS CY 2025 Sign-On
The letter [[link removed]] comments on the following proposed changes to the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule:
- Creating bundled payment codes that advance health equity and the delivery of high-value primary care services
- Support the greater financial needs of providers participating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) who deliver care in under-resourced communities.
- Connecting more patients to providers accountable for the cost and quality of the care they deliver

Consumers First Coalition OPPS Sign-On
The Consumer First Coalition's comments [[link removed]] are focused on two significant omissions from this year’s proposed Outpatient Prospective Payment System rule regarding hospital price transparency and comprehensive site neutral payment policies, as well as the following two sections:

Addressing
our
nation’s
maternal
health
crisis

setting

19
years

in
Medicaid
and
CHIP
as
well
as
removal
of
state
authority
to
disenroll
children
for
failure
to
pay
enrollment
fees
or
premiums
*
Extension
of
the
Medicaid
four
walls
exception
for
Indian
Health
Services
(IHS)
and
tribal
clinics,
behavioral
health
services,
and
rural
providers.
*
Allowing
formally
incarcerated
people
to
qualify
for
and
enroll
in
Medicare
