EMERGENCY UPDATE FOR Taxpayer: You already know about the 21 lab kittens we’re fighting to save from amputation. However, we just uncovered new evidence that NIH is about to ram through funding for a separate experiment to kill 24 cats and harvest their eyes. Without a surge of grassroots support, our budget will break under the unsustainable cost of a two-front war. Read below and take action! Or unsubscribe.

Taxpayer—see below.

We cannot stand idly by while atrocities are committed in the name of “science.”

That's why we urgently need your support for a rapid response campaign to end NIH’s gruesome eyeball-harvesting experiments on 24 cats in Rochester.

The deadline to help is midnight tonight.

In case you haven’t seen our other emails, here's what you need to know:

Experiment Details:

  • Cats' eyes are being damaged in various ways—with scrapers, lasers, and corneal transplants.
  • Metal posts are implanted into cats' skulls to immobilize them and force them to stare at computer screens for hours at a time.
  • Healthy cats are being killed solely to harvest their eyeballs.

Funding Details:
The National Eye Institute, a subagency of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has provided over $7 million in taxpayer funds for these horrific experiments.

De-fund this abuse NOW >>

Violations:
The University of Rochester has violated the Stevens Amendment by failing to disclose the use of federal funds for these experiments. We filed a federal complaint to hold them accountable.

Numerous other violations, including malpractice leading to the deaths of many animals, have been documented.

This is a call to action—a plea for compassion and justice. Together, we can put an end to the needless and painful deaths of 24 innocent cats!

Your donation will fund our efforts to pressure the NIH and the Rochester lab to shut down these experiments and retire and release the cats to loving homes.

Every dollar counts in our fight to protect the voiceless and vulnerable.

Will you join us? Please stand up against cat testing and demand accountability from these evil-doers in our government.

Thank you for your compassion and support.

Sincerely,

Jared Goodman

RAPID RESPONSE DEADLINE

The National Institutes of Health is about to renew funding for another round of eyeball harvesting at the University of Rochester.

The key to ending an experiment is to stop the funding as quickly as possible. Otherwise, the abuse could be on the federal books for years to come.

If we don’t cover our rapid response budget, 24 more cats like #c1-005 will be blinded and abused. All will be slaughtered.

Please rush a secure, emergency donation to chip in $2.40 (only ten cents per cat!) to save the lives—and eyes—of 24 more kittens.

Help block this payout and support all our life-saving campaigns.
