Make no mistake, John, we are facing the most devastating assault on reproductive rights in our country's modern history.

For nearly five decades, Roe v. Wade affirmed that every woman in this country had the right to make her own reproductive decisions.

Then Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization happened, and millions of women instantly lost their constitutional right to abortion, with some states reverting to abortion bans from the 1800s.

And with Florida's six-week abortion ban now in effect, women here face some of the most extreme barriers to abortion care in our country.

Six weeks is before most women even know they are pregnant. Patients must also make two separate trips to obtain care, and they are forced to get ultrasounds even if they're not medically necessary.

It doesn't end there — my far-right extremist opponent, Anna Paulina Luna, wants to pass a national abortion ban, turning back the clock on reproductive rights for good.
