Hi John,

I hope you are doing well today.

You may already know that this past fall I stepped into a new role as a director here at TPPF.

As I evaluated our program, I realized I needed to do a better job of keeping you informed of some of the behind the scenes that you may not be aware of.

There's always a lot of exciting things happening around here, but I don't take the time often enough to pass that along beyond our internal team.

Since I started working from home a few weeks ago, I figured now was the perfect time to begin making that extra effort to make sure you are kept in the loop.

Perhaps the most thrilling news that's come my way recently is from this press release ([link removed] ) :

"TPPF's Executive Director Kevin Roberts has been appointed to serve on the Special Advisory Council to Governor Greg Abbott’s Statewide Strike Force tasked with developing plans to safely and gradually reopen the great state of Texas. Roberts will join with other health, business, and community leaders to provide critical solutions in assisting economic recovery and helping Texans return to work as the state navigates the public health challenge."

We are all ecstatic for Kevin and this opportunity to demonstrate the trust our organization's leadership has built to continue our dedicated work in developing policy recommendations that serve the best interest of Texans.

I hope you find this news as reassuring as I do during this difficult time for the Lone Star State and our nation.

In staying true to my goal to be in touch more often, I'll be sure to reach out again in the coming weeks if anything else interesting comes up!

Best,

Annie Elliott
