Hey John—sorry for the late email. I just finished a 16-hour day on the farm.
Sharla and I started work at around five this morning. Harvest is brutal, and the heat doesn’t help. Well unless you’re the peas, then it’s actually perfect.
Enough of that hullabaloo, back to why I’m emailing you. With just about two months until the election, my team says we’ve fallen behind our fundraising goals. This is bad news, especially because my opponent and his super PAC allies are about to kick their attacks against me into overdrive.
But I’m a farmer—first and foremost. My work here is non-negotiable, and the harvest waits for no one. So while I’m busy on the farm, I’m hoping you can help me out.
John, can you pitch in whatever you’re able to help my campaign catch up? While my multimillionaire opponent can cut himself a check or call up his rich friends to bail him out, I’m counting on folks like you to win this race and defend Montana’s values.

Time to get some rest before another long day. Thanks for everything you do. 🤙
