Lauren Underwood For Congress

On this Labor Day, let's honor the tremendous contributions of hard working Americans, past and present, while recognizing the ongoing need for more worker protections.

Labor unions are vital in protecting workers, advocating for fair treatment, and standing against threats like Project 2025. Labor unions fight for better wages, improved benefits, and safer working conditions through collective bargaining, while also offering legal support and championing broader workers’ rights.

Project 2025 poses significant dangers to worker protections with several anti-labor policies, including those that would:

  • Prohibit unions for public service employees.
  • Replace civil service workers with anti-union loyalists aligned with Trump.
  • Allow employers to dissolve unions during active contracts.
  • Eliminate overtime pay requirements and enable states to bypass federal overtime and minimum wage laws.
  • Removing child labor protections.
  • Encouraging Congress to approve JD Vance’s proposal for employer-controlled "company unions".

To counteract these threats and more, Lauren has introduced House Resolution 1386 to combat Republicans' disastrous Project 2025, which seeks to undermine civil rights and freedoms.

By supporting Lauren’s legislation and pro-worker candidates, like VP Harris and Gov. Walz, along with other dedicated leaders — we can keep up the fight for fair labor practices and workers' rights and prevent a Project 2025 takeover.

Let's honor this Labor Day by reinforcing our commitment to justice, fairness, and safety for all workers.

Happy Labor Day!
